How to Create Facebook Ads that Convert Like Jonny Wilkinson

Social Media Marketing

Facebook adverts can be the single biggest fitness marketing lead generator and money maker in your fitness business if you get them right. On the other hand, they can be an absolute nightmare if you struggle, and can definitely result in throwing your hard earned money down the drain.
What you really want is a formula for success. A formula that will give you an outline of how to create ads that convert and give you the confidence that you are not just shooting in the dark, but are using exact strategies that are proven to be working, right now, in your industry and market.

If only someone had such a formula...

6 Step To Facebook Ads That Convert

The simple 6 step formula can be used by anybody , actually in any business - not just fitness, and is guaranteed to bring you qualified hot leads. All you need to do is follow the formula to create killer ads that convert.

  1. Go to all of the websites that your ideal clients would go to. You know who your ideal client is, I assume? Put yourself in their shoes and imagine what sites they would visit when looking for services similar to yours.

  2. Visit lots of pages and sign up to newsletters. This is to 'get on their radar'. Most companies install retargeting pixels to track your activity on their websites and the companies know what pages you're visiting, then they create a 'user profile' of you.

  3. Wait for the companies to retarget you on Facebook. If you've been browsing their site, signed up to their list and especially if you put something in a shopping cart and don't check out, they will follow you around Facebook by retargeting you.

They know that you are interested in their product/service because you've heavily browsed their site and made the micro-commitment of receiving their emails - this makes you both a hot lead and also very cheap target on Facebook.

  4. Copy and tweak the Ad text and images they use. These companies, especially the market leaders in your area, probably have a massive marketing budget and hire professionals to run their marketing campaigns.

This means their stuff will be working, bringing a large return and has been tested and tweaked to death. All you need to do now is copy what they are doing, tweak it to your market and create a similar image Saving you a lot of trial and error, and potentially dead end campaigns.

  5. Get better conversions. Simple. All you need to do is adapt it to reflect your own brand and product, keep the essence of the successful ad, without outright stealing it and voila. This is actually how many pro's do their ads and are able to work successfully in markets they know nothing about. Somebody else has already done the hard work for them.

We use this formula ourselves and are able to get leads at just 6 pence each! If you're not sure about Facebook marketing... that is crazy cheap!

Of course, you need the right sales page, email follow up and product to convert these leads in to paying clients, but that's a discussion for another day.
