Features of Fit Pro Client Recipes
Fit Pro Client Recipes (FPCR) is absolutely packed with great and some not so great features so for the purpose of retaining your attention, I'm going to list a few of the big ones that will actually make in impact on your decision as to whether you give FPCR a go.
Fit Pro Client Recipes - Weaknesses
As a self confessed hermit that only likes to brave the outdoors to train my awesome clients and myself at the gym, I spend plenty of time scouting the interwebs for things that are either going to boost my online and offline businesses or threaten them. Because of this I was able to watch the development of Fit Pro Client Recipes from afar and I could jump in and out of preview pages as the website was being built.
The sales page - One of the first previews I ever saw of Karen's site was of a full blown website, not the sales page it is now. I'm not sure what happened here but I don't get a great feel from the sales page format. I hate sales and sales page websites put me off of a product immediately. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong in the comments box. This might be just me but I personally think that a website with an about, home and sign up page would be a much better fit for the kind of service Karen provides to personal trainers. This also leads me on to my next point....
Blog access - Karen is absolutely working her ass off to get some amazing guest blogs (I hope to be on there one day) but I have no idea where to find it until I get a temperamental Aweber email in my email inbox. It's under the Resources tab when it should in yo' face! I know this is more of a marketing issue but I know that if non members of Karen's site could see how much attention her business is getting, it could take a lot of PT's from "maybe" to "where do I sign?"

Recipe layout - Again, this could just be me being ass (I do do that), but the PDF recipes don't look great. Don't get me wrong, they're not ugly. They just don't seem to match the "advanced technology" theme that FPCR has. Take a quick look at the snap shot of the first recipe you get as part of your free trial and membership. See what I mean. Not ugly but something's not quite right. I think the name of the recipe should be at the top next to the logo, the categories of the recipe (dairy free, vegan, etc) could be at the bottom and the macro counter should swap places with the shopping list. Oh, and maybe clean up the borders of the shopping list and method. Technology is an ass so I'm not sure how feasible all of this would be. Maybe Karen will comment.... |
Fit Pro Client Recipes - Strengths
I'm now taking my douche bag hat off and putting my usual mega-awesome-well-good (possibly narcissistic) hat on. It is very safe to say that there are also pro's in this Fit Pro Client Recipes review.
Let's start with the PT's experience.
Sign up - Once you're signed up and in your dashboard, getting yourself set up is so easy. It is a truly a blessing that Karen is an epic tech fail because she's made sure that ease of use is paramount. Even our good friend Mike Conley, the overly manly man could figure it out. This guy:

Sign up - Once you're signed up and in your dashboard, getting yourself set up is so easy. It is a truly a blessing that Karen is an epic tech fail because she's made sure that ease of use is paramount. Even our good friend Mike Conley, the overly manly man could figure it out. This guy:
Done for you recipe books - Karen has been so kind as to add your own done for you recipe books. At the moment they are Super Smoothies and Tasty treats. Both of which are branded to your business and offer a great bonus to your clients.
Nutrition systems - You get recipes to suit all the diets I personally know of including dairy free, vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, clean, primal, low carb, high protein, IIFYM and Paleo. You can also choose recipes by meal types including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, condiments, desserts, smoothies, sides and drinks.
Calculators - Being able to put a nutritional programme together is one thing, but being able to figure out exactly how many calories your clients, the provide them with recipes and a shopping list is what puts Fit Pro Client Recipes ahead of the game.
Resources - Karen doesn't exactly advertise this but PT's also get a whole host of resources as part of their Fit Pro Client Recipes membership including book recommendations, blogs, videos and articles related to nutrition and food. This is a great way to retain clients and I use the same tactic with my clients to add value and make a good service great.
Price - Last but not least, Fit Pro Client Recipes only costs you $16/week (£9.74). This could get expensive and become slightly out of reach to some start up PT's but at the moment there is no tie in period so it's feasible. I imagine Karin would be having a little trouble with retention
The Verdict
The purpose of Fit Pro Client Recipes is to supplement your existing personal training packages, boost client retention, increase the value of your business and make you look awesome. I think it does exactly that and with a simple, easy to use dashboard, great ways to build nutritional programs and loads of extra resources, I will definitely recommend this product.
